  • Treatment

In the industrial processes which utilize potatoes, they should be washed with water to proceed to withdraw the dirt by means of strainers, then they are washed with water, that has dirt attached, in this stage the water is saturated by mud very rapidly, and the solution is to dilute the washing water with clean water, and a proportional portion of dirty water is withdrawn, this goes to the drain saturating it, there are various solutions, the normal one is to decant the sludge before sending to the drain which requires sufficiently large pools.
A more convenient solution is to withdraw the mud through a concentration process and at the same time it permits the reuse of water to eliminate the mud, the water can partly recycle decreasing the use of clean water one one hand, and on the other the water that is deviated to the drain, which has little mud.

  • The Proposed System Is The Following:

    • 1.- Stationary continuous groove sieve non jamming (mallas Jhonson)
    • 2.- Hydrocyclones which separate mud
    • 3.- Hydrocyclones for concentration of mud
    • 4.- Vacuum filtration
    • 5.- Instantaneous dryer (optional)
If the exit option is chosen, the mud emerges with 40% moisture. If you opt for the option with a dryer, it emerges with 12% moisture so the dryer channels the air combustion from the combustion boilers. ×
